Careers at The Organizing Method

Join a team that takes pride in every space we touch.

The Organizing Method is a premium home organizing and move management business based in Houston, Texas. We work with busy families to create homes that feel calm, functional, and deeply thought-through — and we're looking for a warm, detail-oriented person to grow with us.

"We build homes that feel like a deep exhale. That kind of work takes a team who genuinely cares — about the client, the space, and each other."
— Julia Foulk, Founder

Assistant Organizer

As an Assistant Organizer, you'll work hands-on alongside our lead organizer to transform kitchens, closets, pantries, garages, and entire households. You'll sort, categorize, install organizing systems, and help bring a thoughtful vision to life — in real clients' homes, with real results.

This is a part-time role with a consistent weekly schedule and genuine room to grow. We're building something here, and we'd love for the right person to grow with us into a lead organizer role over time.

Availability: We're looking for someone who can commit to at least one scheduled session per week, typically on weekdays between 9 AM and 5 PM. Our clients count on us to show up as planned, so consistency is something we really value in our team.

Your day-to-day

  • Work alongside the lead organizer to sort, declutter, categorize, and organize spaces from start to finish
  • Pack and/or unpack and set up household items during move-ins and relocations
  • Install organizing products, bins, shelving systems, drawer dividers, and labels with care and precision
  • Handle client belongings respectfully and with full discretion at all times
  • Keep the worksite clean, efficient, and positive throughout each session
  • Communicate clearly with the lead organizer about progress and any questions that come up
  • Represent The Organizing Method with warmth and professionalism in every client home

The right fit

  • Reliable and communicative — you follow through and give notice if something changes
  • Naturally detail-oriented with a love of order and systems
  • Easy to work alongside and quick to take direction
  • Professional and warm in clients' homes
  • Energized by physical, hands-on work — sessions are active and rewarding
  • Someone who takes pride in the finished product, not just the individual tasks
  • Excited about the idea of a consistent weekly role, not just occasional fill-in work

Six months in

  • You've built a reliable weekly rhythm with our team
  • Clients have noticed your warmth and attention to detail
  • You can install our product systems confidently and independently
  • You arrive prepared and ready to go — every time
  • You feel genuinely proud of the spaces we create together
  • You're being considered for additional responsibility and lead opportunities

What we ask

  • Availability for at least one scheduled session per week, on weekdays between 9 AM and 5 PM
  • Comfortable with active physical work — standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout a 4–8 hour session
  • Able to lift and carry up to 30–40 lbs
  • Reliable transportation to client homes across the Houston metro area
  • A smartphone for scheduling, communication, and team coordination
  • No prior organizing experience required — we'll train you on our systems and products

What it's like to be on this team

We work hard, but we genuinely enjoy it. There's something deeply satisfying about watching a space transform over the course of a day — and we never take that for granted. Sessions are focused and efficient, and the environment is warm and collaborative.

We communicate expectations clearly, trust our team to execute, and make sure you always feel supported. You'll be treated like the professional you are.

As The Organizing Method grows, we're committed to helping our team grow with it. Assistant Organizers who thrive here have a clear path to lead roles and greater responsibility over time.
